I've over-educated myself in all the things I shouldn't have known.
To study and not think is a waste. To think and not study is dangerous.
When I became Christian I voluntarily crucified my mind, and all the crosses that I bear have only been a source of joy for me. I have lost nothing, and gained everything.
The knowledge of the Cross is concealed in the sufferings of the Cross.
Whatever you may be seeking, seek it with all your strength, but do not expect your own search and efforts to bear fruit of themselves. Put your trust in the Lord, ascribing nothing to yourself, and He will give you your heart's desire.
A silent man is a son of wisdom and is always gaining great knowledge.
We have heard enough of liberty and the rights of man; it is high time to hear something of the duties of men and the rights of authority.

What's it like living on an island of sanity surrounded by a sea of Islamic madness? Your city-state is one of my favorite places on earth, and I'll keep it in my prayers.
I spent a year in KL. Malaysia is both where the 9/11 attacks were planned and where these new suicide bombers have come from.
I knew a lot of decent people of the Muslim faith. I even once considered that Islam might but the true faith. I now know Islam to be the wicked and false man-made religion that it is.
Right now, I'm reading The Life and Religion of Mohammad by Fr. J.L. Menezes, an Indian Catholic. It was written in 1911. It does not paint a pretty picture, but everything is from the historical record, much of it from the Qu'ran itself. We see the so-called "prophet" presiding over mass murder, mass rape, consumating a marriage with a nine-year old girl, having a "revelation" that he alone should have an unlimited numeber of wives.
How people could have been duped by such a charlatan is a mystery. The people of what is now Saudi Arabia must have been as ignorant then as they are now.
