Fun with Latin

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin can be fun - especially when you have classmates (and teacher) who spice up translation sessions with nonsense interpretation. From today's class:

homo insanus est ('he is a madman')
became 'he is a crazy gay' in English.

aurum in fano tuo situm est ('the gold is placed in the shrine')
was jokingly translated as 'the gold is shitted in your fanny'.

I'd say we've earned ourselves a place at ICEL with that sort of translation.

Any chance that Edward of Inferno XV was either teaching or present at the class? It would explain a lot.
